Waterloo Coin Society issues souvenir treasury notes to celebrate its history and that of the local area.

On January 10, 2023 the Waterloo Coin Society (WCS) released 2- and 5-dollar notes that respectively feature the late Bruce Raszmann with Kitchener’s clock tower and William English with the Waterloo Pioneers Memorial Tower. While not legal tender, the WCS will accept them in payment of membership dues, auction items, etc.

Designed by Andri Kurniawan, a bank note collector and artist from Ottawa, the notes feature artistic elements and images that bridge the club’s history with the area’s local heritage. The beautiful result is presented in a fresh and modern design in both horizontal and vertical layouts. Raszmann and English are two of the most influential members of the WCS. The towers on the back of the notes are symbols of the local area and heritage of the first pioneers.

These souvenir treasury notes are available for purchase by visiting the WCS’s website at waterloocoinsociety.com, by attending any of its in-person club meetings, or by purchasing from an
authorized reseller.

La Waterloo Coin Society émet des billets-souvenirs pour souligner son histoire et celle de la région.

Le 10 janvier 2023, la Waterloo Coin Society (WCS) a émis des billets de 2 et 5 dollars sur lesquels figurent respectivement le regretté Bruce Raszmann avec la tour de l’horloge de Kitchener et William English avec la Waterloo Pioneers Memorial Tower. Bien qu’ils n’aient pas cours légal, la WCS les acceptera en paiement des cotisations des membres, des articles de vente aux enchères, etc.

Conçus par Andri Kurniawan, un collectionneur de billets de banque et artiste d’Ottawa, les billets comportent des éléments artistiques et des images qui font le lien entre l’histoire du club et le patrimoine régional. Le magnifique résultat est présenté dans un design frais et moderne, en disposition horizontale et verticale. Raszmann et English sont deux des membres les plus influents de la WCS. Les tours au dos des billets sont des symboles régionaux des premiers pionniers.
