Here is the second installment of the activities and events you want to put on your to do list while attending this year’s RCNA Convention this July in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

On July 18^th after the Early Bird Dinner, head to the Garrison Pub behind the Westin Nova Scotia, cause at 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm it turns into “Calgary House”. The Calgary Numismatic Society has booked the pub for three hours and wants to spread the Western Hospitality that Calgary is known for out east and is inviting everyone to stop by and enjoy some locally brewed beer and cider and snacks. The CNS hosted “Calgary House” at the 2015 Convention and everyone who attended it enjoyed themselves and I am sure attendees will again this year. Everyone is welcome to show up and catch up!!

One of the many entertaining tours that is planned is a tour of Halifax by land and sea.  Just a short 10-minute walk along the Halifax waterfront from the hotel to the Salter Street Parking lot.  You hop on the Harbour Hopper, an amphibious vessel and enjoy a one-hour land and water excursion. This tour is Atlantic Canada’s most popular tour. You enjoy an exclusive land tour and view Halifax’s vibrant historic sites and then adventure continues and your driver is now a Captain as you make a big splash and enter the harbour and you have the chance to view downtown Halifax, George’s Island, Cable Wharf and the waterfront. If you have a mobility issue, just hop into a taxi and head down to the departure location for the tour on the boardwalk.

Halifax 2023 : Certaines activités

Voici le deuxième volet des activités et événements à mettre sur votre liste de choses à faire lors de votre participation au congrès de l’ARNC en juillet prochain à Halifax, en Nouvelle-Écosse.

]Le 18 juillet, après le Souper des premiers arrivés, rendez-vous au Garrison Pub, derrière le Westin Nova Scotia, car de 20 h à 23 h, il se transforme en Calgary House. La Calgary Numismatic Society a réservé le pub pour trois heures et souhaite répandre dans l’Est l’hospitalité qui fait la réputation de Calgary. Elle invite tout le monde à s’arrêter et à déguster de la bière et du cidre brassés localement, ainsi que des casse-croûte. La CNS a organisé la “Calgary House” lors du ccongrès 2015 et tous ceux qui y ont assisté se sont amusés et je suis sûr que les participants le feront à nouveau cette année. Tout le monde est invité à venir faire un tour et à rattraper le temps perdu!

L’une des nombreuses visites prévues los du congrès est une visite de Halifax par terre et par mer.  Il suffit de 10 minutes de marche le long du front de mer de Halifax, de l’hôtel au stationnement de la rue Salter, pour monter à bord du Harbour Hopper, un véhicule amphibie.  Une excursion d’une heure par terre et mer. Cette excursion est la plus populaire du Canada atlantique. Vous profitez d’une visite exclusive de la terre ferme de sites historiques de Halifax, puis l’aventure continue et le chauffeur est maintenant un capitaine. Vous faites un grand plongeon et entrez dans le port et vous avez la chance de voir le centre-ville de Halifax, George’s Island, Cable Wharf et le front de mer. Si vous avez des problèmes de mobilité, montez dans un taxi et dirigez-vous vers le lieu de départ de l’excursion sur la promenade.
