Happy birthday Mr. English!

Today, February 4, 2023, Mr. William (Bill) English, a founding member of the Ontario Numismatic Society (ONA) and the Waterloo Coin Society (WCS), who remains active in both, is 100 years old.

In celebration of this extraordinary man, who is an integral part of both clubs, the ONA, in cooperation with the family, will be hosting a special birthday gathering on Sunday, February 5, 2023.

The event will be held in conjunction with the Paris Coin Show. Feel free to drop by, wish Bill happy birthday, and sign the guest book. Photographs of Bill throughout the years, with his both his natural and numismatic families will be on display.

Numismatic tributes have recently been paid to this Gentlemen Collector as he was featured on the medal of the 2022 ONA convention and on the face of the 5-dollar treasury note of the WCS. [$♫]

Le doyen de la numismatique canadienne célèbre son 100e anniversaire

Joyeux anniversaire M. English!

Aujourd’hui, 4 février 2023, M. William (Bill) English, membre fondateur et toujours actif de l’Ontario Numismatic Society (ONA) et de la Waterloo Coin Society (WCS), célèbre ses 100 ans.

Pour célébrer cet homme extraordinaire, qui fait partie intégrante des deux clubs, l’ONA, en collaboration avec la famille, organisera un rassemblement spécial d’anniversaire le dimanche 5 février 2023.

L’événement aura lieu en même temps que le Paris Coin Show. N’hésitez pas à passer, à souhaiter un bon anniversaire à Bill et à signer le livre d’or. Des photographies de Bill au fil des ans, avec sa famille naturelle et sa famille numismatique, seront exposées.

Des hommages numismatiques ont récemment été rendus à ce gentilhomme collectionneur, puisqu’il figurait sur la médaille du congrès 2022 de l’ONA et sur la face du billet de trésorerie de 5 dollars de la WCS. [$♫]
